Ciutadella is the second largest town on the island. It has about 22.000 inhabitants. It was the Menorcan capital until 1722 when the english goverment decided to change its residence to Mahón. Ciutadella was left as the clergy town where the bishop lived.
From the harbour you can see the antique part of this monumental town with its cathedral, town hall and the typical old town houses that welcome the visitors.
